	Medical Physics Fellowship
	Postdoctoral/Residency Position in Medical Imaging
		A postdoctoral fellowship/medical physics residency position in medical imaging is available in the Physics and Engineering Division of the Department of Radiology, University of Alabama Medical Center, UAB. The position is open to individuals who recently received a Ph.D. degree in physics, medical physics, computer science, or engineering. During the two-year term, fellows will participate in clinical support, teaching, and other professional activities of clinical medical physicists working in diagnostic medical imaging at a large medical center. The fellowship also offers opportunities to work with physicists, engineers, and physicians on imaging research and instrumentation development. 	In 2004, the Department of Radiology performed approximately 400,000 exams and procedures at two locations, utilizing a wide range of diagnostic and nuclear medicine imaging equipment including 5 MRI scanners and 5 CT scanners. About thirty people, including five full time faculty and two fellows, work within the Physics and Engineering Division. Five faculty members are diplomates of the American Board of Radiology.
	This offer is addressed to US citizens or persons with permanent resident status.
