 Mammography Fellowship

The Breast imaging section performs over 20,000 exams per year, including almost 3,000 breast ultrasounds per year. In addition, they perform approximately 12,000 screening mammograms a year along with 600 intervention procedures per year.

The section has been completely renovated and enjoys two new GE logic 9 ultrasound machines. In 2005 they plan to open a digital screening center with two digital mammography units. Most exams are performed in The Kirklin Clinic, a 430,000 sq. ft. Ambulatory Patient Care Center designed by the world-renowned American architect I.M. Pei. There are three mammography faculty members and usually one fellow.
